Privacy policy

Vacation is a private, invite-only app for a small group of friends to pick a vacation spot together. It is run by Gadoci Consulting. This page explains what it collects and what happens to it.

What we collect

• From Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile photo. We request only the basic openid, email and profile scopes. We never see your Google password and get no access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive or anything else.
• What you do in the app: your swipes (yes or no on each destination) and any destinations you add.
• A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. There are no ads, no analytics trackers and no third-party cookies.

How it is used

Only to run the app: letting invited people sign in, showing the deck, and showing the group which destinations everyone liked. Your votes are visible to the other members of your group.

Where it is stored

Data is stored in a MongoDB Atlas database and the app is hosted on Vercel, both in the United States. Destination photos are loaded from Unsplash, Pexels or Wikimedia Commons, so your browser contacts those services when it shows a photo.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone outside your group, and we do not use it for advertising. Google user data is used only to sign you in, in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Deleting your data

Email bg@gadociconsulting.com and we will remove your account and votes. Removing someone from the group in the app deletes their votes immediately.
